  • Clauses 1–4 remain the same

  • Clause 5 all members vote aye to gendered language changed from he/she to they.

  • Clause 6.1 – All members vote aye to the introduction of the General Committee

  • Clause 6.4 – Point d.) from the secretary role removed, all members vote aye.

  • Clause 6.5 remains unchanged.

  • Clause 6.6 – Role renamed Social Media & Events Coordinator, all vote aye.

    • Pins will be the current focus, 2 pins, 3 sticker options (to begin with, can expand depending on sales), once discussion with other societies regarding hoodies and hats has occurred we can find sites for manufacturing those items of clothing.

  • Squarespace commerce plan by Magz:

    • If annual revenue is $3200 USD ($4797.79 AUD) commerce plan is recommended.

    • All members decide to leave the current subscription at a business level.

  • Neon Republic pin sizes (1.5cm→5cm)

    • Moulding fee is $150.00, add-on fee based on how many you order.

    • Add-ons (eg. glow-in-the-dark) incur extra costs.

    • Magz to find 3 other pin production websites.

    • Starting amount is suggested at 25–50.

    • 2→3cm preferred size by members.

  • Acquiring designs for pins:

    • Magz’ design ideas → animal crossing-inspired

      • We need to make sure it looks distinctive enough from animal crossing characters

      • Emma’s suggestion to pick an aminal per ancient society

        • Ancient Egypt would be cats

        • Ancient Celts would be horses

    • Simple design to fit on a pin.

    • Other niches (Rome, Greece, Barbarian, Indigenous Australian)

    • Any Indigenous Australian pins would have to be discussed with and made in collaboration with the Indigenous Students Association

    • Everyone to find one pin manufacturer before the next meeting

Events for 2023

  • Arting the Ancients is a blog dedicated to ancient history, they would like to collaborate with MAHA for an event.

    • Educational event

      • A writing day or an artmaking event (ala paint and sip)

  • Easter egg hunt/internet scavenger hunt

  • Timeline:

    • O-Week 2023 = Monday 20th–24th February.

    • MAHA will not be doing all 5 days, we will definitely be doing the 20th and 24th of Feb. 

    • 20–23rd = orientation for AHIS students, best to select the day when the maximum number of AHIS students is there.

    • We need to review the MQ’s blackout dates.

    • Key Dates MQ

      • Jan 15th email for how to book a stall, end-of-year report must be submitted. Funding applications are open. Event requests are open.

      • Feb 2nd compulsory executive training.

      • Feb 3rd = orientation stall applications close.

    • 27th Feb→3rd March = event for new members, mandatory.

      • Games night was very successful. Trivia night etc. etc.

      • Ideally on campus or in Ubar.

    • 1st March →11th March = Welcome reception

    • Week four = movie night?

    • 21→31st = GM (election) including GC members and revue.

      • Jousting within this timeframe.

    • Mid-sem break involves Revue announcement and getting auditions in.

  • We are renewing the Linktree

  • Charity selections are to be decided in the second half of semester one when planning efforts can be dedicated to the matter fully.

  • Theatre dates for the Revue:

    • 4th Sept → 10th Sept = actual Revue

    • 9th→15th July = Rehearsal week

      • 10-week rehearsal period beginning at the latest around 25th–30th June

      • People must be free for these dates during the election.

    • End of April→June = writing days, props sourcing, etc. etc. before auditions/elections.

  • Director position = full authority in terms of writing, everyone reviews and provides edits to the script. 

  • Producer/ass. Director = revue

  • Exec. prod. = responsible for looking after the crew.

  • Intimacy coordinator if necessary
